Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to completing all ongoing projects, announcing that 90% of current road projects are nearing completion.
While unveiling the 2025 infrastructure projects at the Governor’s Office in Abere, Osogbo on Tuesday, he detailed a significant advancement across various sectors.
He highlighted the rehabilitation of over 150 kilometers of roads, refurbishment of 200 Primary Health Centres, and the upgrade of 99 schools.
He also noted that several dualization and flyover projects are at various stages of completion.
Specifically, the Ilesa dualization project is 60% completed, while the Ile-Ife, Oke-Fia, and LAMECO flyovers are nearing completion.
Also 1.5 kilometers of road projects across all Local Government Areas are almost finished, and the Oke Gada bridge is approximately 70% complete.
Adeleke assured the public that all projects would be completed within the current fiscal year, emphasizing that his administration will not leave any project unfinished.
He announced the initiation of a new set of infrastructure projects encompassing the works, health, and education sectors.
The road projects include the Osogbo-Iwo-Oyo State Boundary Road at a cost of ₦5.94 billion, the Osogbo-Ikirun-Insha-Kwara State Boundary Road at ₦13.71 billion, and the Ejigbo-Isoko-Aye-Oguro 5.1-kilometer road at ₦3.02 billion.
The governor said that the dualization of the Odo Ori Junction-Post Office Junction-Adeeke Junction, with a spur to the Oluwo of Iwo Palace, covering 6.65 kilometers, will be executed in two phases at a cost of ₦10.42 billion.
He disclosed that his administration has refurbished 200 health centers, enhancing primary healthcare delivery across the state.
He added that the education sector has also seen a significant improvement, with over 100 schools upgraded to provide a better learning environment.
Adeleke emphasized that all inherited projects would be advanced to new milestones this year, reiterating his commitment to the state’s development and the well-being of its residents.
