Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has congratulated the State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP leadership on the peaceful and orderly conduct of its ward congresses.
He also praised the party’s state chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, the Stakeholders’ Forum, and his Chief of Staff for their tireless efforts in strengthening the party.
In a statement issued following the conclusion of the statewide ward congresses, the governor expressed satisfaction with the growing strength and grassroots acceptance of the PDP, despite recent political controversies.
His words, “I applaud the dedication of our leaders and members. Under Sunday Bisi’s leadership, the PDP is stronger, more united, and better positioned for future victories.”
Also, the governor commended the successful restructuring and ongoing expansion of the party across the state, affirming that the party has earned the trust and goodwill of the people from all walks of life.
He said, “I visited several parts of the state in recent weeks without prior notice, and the feedback I received on the ground was overwhelmingly positive.
“Osun people recognize that our party and this administration not only mean well but have also demonstrated the capacity to deliver good governance across various sectors of the state’s economy.”
Describing the PDP as a party of the people, the governor emphasized that the party serves the aspirations and interests of Osun citizens, noting that no other political party in recent state history has garnered such consistent public endorsement.
“In recent months, we’ve received unsolicited endorsements of our performance and credibility on a weekly basis. From farmers to artisans, youth groups to civil servants, all critical sectors of Osun society have declared their support for our party and its leadership,” he said.
He highlighted the restructuring and grassroots consolidation efforts of the PDP, stating:
“The PDP has successfully restructured at the local level and expanded its reach. Without doubt, PDP is the most popular political party in Osun State today. While others are locked in internal crises within an unpopular opposition, the Osun PDP is growing stronger and reaffirming its position as the party of the people – for 2026 and beyond.
Adeleke reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to good governance and inclusive leadership, pledging to continue prioritizing both hard and soft infrastructure development as the administration looks toward 2026 and beyond.
