Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has congratulated his Ekiti State counterpart, Abiodun Oyebanji, on his victory in Saturday’s governorship election, describing the outcome as a reaffirmation of the confidence reposed in his leadership by the people of the state.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke said the landslide victory recorded by Oyebanji reflected the acceptance of his administration and the remarkable achievements recorded during his first term in office.
According to the Osun governor, the fresh mandate granted to the Ekiti State governor would provide him with the opportunity to consolidate on the developmental strides already initiated for the benefit of the people.
“My congratulations to Governor Abiodun Oyebanji on his decisive victory in the recently concluded governorship election in Ekiti State. The victory is a mark of acceptance of his leadership and confidence in him to deliver more progress for the state,” Adeleke stated.
The governor, speaking on behalf of the government and people of Osun State, expressed optimism that Governor Oyebanji’s second term would sustain and expand the impactful programmes and policies that characterised his first tenure.
“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Osun State, I rejoice with my brother governor and share the optimism of Ekiti people that his next term will be a continuation of the impactful services that marked his first term,” he added.
Governor Adeleke further wished Governor Oyebanji a successful tenure and prayed for divine guidance, wisdom and strength for him as he continues to provide good governance and deliver more development to the people of Ekiti State.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by the spokesperson to the Osun State Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed.
Governor Oyebanji secured a renewed mandate in the governorship election, paving the way for another term in office as he seeks to build on the achievements of his first administration.
