Before the election, the Corps Commander had emphasized the corps’ commitment to securing the safety of residents and ensuring a smooth electoral process.

He stated that Amotekun personnel were dispatched to every local government area to prevent any untoward incidents during and after the election.

“We assure every resident of Osun State that their safety is our priority. Amotekun personnel are strategically deployed across all local governments, working hand-in-hand with other security agencies to ensure that there is no breakdown of law and order.”

“We urge the public to remain calm and vigilant, and should they notice any security threat or suspicious activity, they should immediately notify the Amotekun Corps or other relevant authorities.”

The Corps will continue to work closely in collaboration with the Nigerian Police Force, the Nigerian Army, and other security agencies to guarantee a peaceful election process. The commander reassured residents that the joint efforts would ensure a secure atmosphere for the elections, fostering a free and fair electoral process.

“Amotekun’s presence across the state reflects the commitment of the Osun State government to ensure a peaceful and orderly election, prioritizing the security of all voters and the integrity of the local government election.
