Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has congratulated superstar journalist and former Presidential Spokesperson, Dr. Reuben Abati, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
He celebrates him especially for his remarkable contributions to journalism and national discourse in Nigeria.
In a statement in Osogbo, the governor extolled Abati for his clear-headed analysis and insightful commentaries on local and national issues, describing the Arise TV anchor as a relentless advocate for truth and a champion of the voiceless whose work continues to promote, inform and engage the citizenry.
He expressed admiration for Abati’s courage and unwavering advocacy for good governance and respect for human rights, commending him for using his craft to inspire action and guide aspirations toward a better society.
In the governor’s words, “I join friends, family, and well-wishers in celebrating one of the greatest minds in Nigerian journalism, Dr. Reuben Abati, as he marks his 60th birthday.
“Dr. Abati is a voice of reason, enriching homes with insightful commentaries and analyses that not only highlight challenges but also offer practical solutions.
“As Presidential Spokesperson, Dr. Abati demonstrated character and discipline, effectively communicating the policies and programmes of his principal to Nigerians.
“And as an anchor on Arise TV, he has continued to win hearts with his honest assessments, intellectual rigour, and steadfast commitment to informing the public with integrity.”
Adeleke wished Dr. Abati a joyous and memorable celebration, praying that Almighty God grant him long life, good health, and continued wisdom to contribute to national development, particularly in the field of journalism.
