A former presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Nwachukwu Anakwenze has commended the party for the success recorded so far in its presidential campaign nationwide.
In a statement by the Director General of the Anakwenze Campaign Organisation, Comrade Eric Oluwole, Anakwenze urged the party’s Presidential Candidate and former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, his running mate and Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, National Working Committee, elders and other major stakeholders to reconcile all the aggrieved members with the party’s mainstream to forge unity in the ongoing campaign ahead of the February 25, 2023 Presidential Election.
Particularly, Anakwenze stressed the need to reconcile the group of five aggrieved Governors of the party led by River State Governor Nyesom Wike, to ensure that the PDP goes into the coming presidential election a united house and a fearful electoral firepower that will easily defeat all opponents on the electoral battlefield.
Stressing the urgency of unity among all the leaders and members of the party, Anakwenze advised the party’s Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to work out the plan of reaching out to Governor Wike and the other four aggrieved Governors as a matter of urgency in the overall interest of the party in the 2023 Election and the future of the party thereafter.
He said: “It is imperative to unite all members and the entire structure to a very serious electoral battle that we must win for Nigeria; otherwise the victory which is already awaiting us to rescue our fatherland from the miSrule of the ruling party, may be difficult to achieve.”
