
Former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the last election who aspires to fly the party’s flag again in the coming election in the state, Mr Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, has appointed a former commissioner, Mr Akin Adaramola as his pre-primary Campaign Director General.
He is to work for Jegede’s emergence at the coming primary election of the party where the candidate to fly the party’s flag at the October 10 election would be picked.
Adaramola, a former Head of Service in the state between 1999 and 2003, served as a commissioner for eight years in the immediate past Olusegun Mimiko administration.
His appointment was contained in a statement signed on behalf of the Eyitayo Campaign Organisation by Amuwa Benson Esq.
The statement said the appointment was based on a renewed quest to form a people-centered government, adding: “Mr. Adaramola’s experience in the effective utilization and coordination of men and materials for results, coupled with his deep knowledge of Ondo State and his profound appreciation of the challenges confronting our people commended him for this assignment.
“As we draw from his wealth of experience in the Civil Service, Political Sphere and Community leadership in Ondo State, we are confident that he will again make a success of this assignment.
“To assist Mr. Adaramola in this assignment are three Directors. We have also constituted Campaign Coordinating Committees for each of the 18 Local Government Areas of Ondo State.
“We are confident that our men and women occupying these various offices represent the first push in our quest to occupy the Ondo State Government House come February, 2021.
“These offices and appointments are put in place to oversee and ensure our success at the PDP Governorship Primary.”
