Musulumi chairman-general, charges contractor on quality

Spokesman to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, has reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to the continued development of Iwo and other communities across Iwoland.
He stated this during a courtesy visit to the Baba Chairman-General of Isokan Musulumi of Iwoland, where he conveyed Governor Adeleke’s appreciation for the religious leader’s prayers, support and goodwill towards the governor’s re-election.
He also expressed the governor’s gratitude to the people of Iwo for their continued support and confidence in his administration.
According to him, the governor remains committed to fulfilling the promises made to the people of Iwo and ensuring that government development projects continued to reach communities across the area.
Rasheed said the administration regards engagement with traditional, religious and community stakeholders as important to sustaining development and strengthening the relationship between government and the people.
As part of the visit, the governor’s spokesman inspected the ongoing construction of the Akinola-Iyemoja Road in Iwo, a project approved by Senator Lere Oyewumi.
The project, which has also been publicly described as the Ile Akinola Road construction, was flagged off in September 2026.
During the inspection, Rasheed charged the contractor and his team to ensure that the project was executed according to specification, with particular attention to quality and durability

He stressed the importance of delivering a road that would provide lasting value to residents and road users in the community.
Rasheed noted that the road was strategically important to Iwo because of its role as a major route and its connection to other communities within the town.
He said the successful completion of the project would further improve movement within the community and support economic and social activities in the area.
The visit also provided an opportunity for the governor’s representative to assess progress on the project and interact with those involved in its execution.
Rasheed reiterated the Adeleke administration’s focus on infrastructure development, while assuring the people of Iwo that the government would continue to pay attention to projects capable of improving the quality of life of residents.
He said the administration would sustain its engagement with traditional rulers, religious leaders, community leaders and other stakeholders across Iwoland as part of efforts to promote inclusive development.
The visit, according to him, underscored the administration’s commitment to ensuring that government projects were not only initiated but completed to acceptable standards and delivered for the benefit of the people.
