Reflection for the day

By Olubunmi Adebayo

*Continuation of yesterday’s Reflection on the reality of giving to him who has, from him who has not, even the little that he has :*

*3) The one from whom something is to be taken away, most of the time, has neither matched the opportunity he has with what he produces nor his endowments with results.*

*Since there is no vacuum in life, someone else must have what he had and refused to utilize. Know that each time a man misses opportunities in life, others step forward to use such opportunities. This is why life keeps going on without waiting for anyone.*

*4) The one that has more, has demonstrated a higher degree of positive mindedness in his attitude to work in line with the expectations of the owner of the work, despite whatever emerging challenges he might have encountered along the way.*

*This is why people celebrate success, and not the potentials of in a man, or the number of opportunities he missed.*

*5) The one who has more is an individual who has put all he has into achieving what was required and necessary for the set target.*

*The same cannot be said of the other fellow who went ahead to bury his own talent.*

*6) Most likely, the person to be given more, was never involved in any blame game, which is characteristic of a lot of successful people who have assignments entrusted into their hands. This is unlike the other fellow who was a grandmaster in giving excuses for failure.*

*To the proactive and pragmatic person out there, know that there is no excuse that is worth success.*

*7) The one to be given more has worked and succeeded in gaining mastery of the circumstances around him. Several people work without being conscious of the circumstances around them. Results can not but be poor in this kind of situation.*

*8) The one to be given more has proved that he can manage additional successes that came across his way. The headache of some people is in managing their accomplishment going forward. Not many can successfully do this.*

*9) And finally, when an individual is encouraged to do well, he performs better and achieves higher. The same can not be said of a man who has failed over and over again. Encourage him the more, he will likely fail again and again. How do we know this? The word “take away” is ‘an action word’ that dares the opposition. Before it gets to this stage, especially from the angle of God, who was the original speaker here, a lot would have gone into that effort. Same applies to things in the secular. The word “take away” is the final stage of a punitive action from no less a personality but God.*

*Please note that life is governed by principles, one of which is what we have just considered. Another, which is germane to this discuss is the principle of sowing and reaping. Even God, in His eternal wisdom recognizes and respects this laws :*

*Galatians 6 : [7] Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.*

*Gal 6:7 above is the fundamental essence of the quote to take from him that has not, and give to him that has, so that he can have more, and indeed, much more.*

Glory to God for seeing the last day in this seventh month🙏
