A former Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC) representing Ondo State and former Commissioner in Ondo State, Prince Diran Iyantan, has congratulated Senator-Elect Prof Francis Adedayo Faduyile, OON, on his decisive victory in the just-concluded Ondo South Senatorial District bye-election.
He described the outcome of the election as “a clear affirmation of the confidence and trust the people of Ondo South have in the leadership qualities, competence and integrity of the former President of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA).”
Iyantan, in a statement, said “the overwhelming mandate given to Professor Faduyile reflects the collective belief that the Senator-Elect possesses the experience, character and vision required to provide effective representation for the people of the district at the National Assembly.
“The people of Ondo South are genuinely delighted with the emergence of Professor Francis Adedayo Faduyile as Senator-Elect. His victory is not only a personal achievement but a victory for all those who desire purposeful and quality representation.” .
He said that Faduyile’s “outstanding accomplishments as a distinguished medical professional, accomplished academic and former President of the prestigious Nigeria Medical Association have adequately prepared him for the task ahead.
“At the highest level of medical leadership in Nigeria, Professor Faduyile demonstrated uncommon courage, compassion, administrative competence and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people. These qualities, coupled with his intellectual depth and broad experience in public service, inspire confidence that Ondo South will have a worthy voice at the Senate.”
Iyantan, who is also a proud son of Ikaleland, assured the Senator-Elect of his unwavering support and readiness to offer any assistance within his capacity to ensure the success of his legislative assignment.
“I stand ready, as a fellow son of Ikaleland and elder statesman, to extend every helping hand necessary as he prepares to assume this important responsibility. The success of Professor Faduyile will ultimately be the success of the people of Ondo South,” Iyantan added.
He observed that “expectations among the electorate are understandably high, expressing optimism that the Senator-Elect would effectively articulate the aspirations of the district, facilitate developmental initiatives and defend the interests of the people with courage, dignity and distinction.”
Congratulating Faduyile on his historic victory, Iyantan urged him to remain focused on leaving behind an enduring legacy of service and impact.
According to him, “Leadership is not defined by the number of years spent in office but by the difference made in the lives of the people. Even the shortest period in public office can become an eternity in history when dedicated to selfless service, vision and transformative action.”
He further remarked that the people of Ondo South would be looking up to the Senator-Elect to justify the confidence reposed in him.
“The entire Ondo South Senatorial District is counting on him to make a meaningful impact. As he awaits his inauguration into the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, our prayer is that he will seize this opportunity to write his name and legacy in the sands of time through exemplary representation, outstanding performance and devoted service to humanity,” he said.
