Not Every Medicine is Sweet or appealing, But for Healing, We Drink Them Anyway

Helping Words

By Lilian Chudey Pride

I have noticed that the Story We Avoid Is the Story We Need to Write.

Not every story is easy to tell, because some stories carry pain,
disappointments, loss, failure and regrets.

This could be why people avoid writing their stories, and some cover their pains with beauty products and expensive clothing.

But over the years I learned something powerful, writing is not just about creating a book, or saying something nice, it can also be about making sense of our experiences because writing is therapeutic.

When we put down words about what we’ve lived through, we discover lessons we could not see while we were in the middle of that struggle, and that is where healing happens.

The experience doesn’t change, but our understanding of it can. Clarity will be achieved and Purpose is born.

When we write, sometimes, what once felt like a burden becomes a source of wisdom, healing, and hope for you and others who are where you were, and those who will yet walk through that path.

Point to Note: You cannot LEAD WELL, if you have not HEALED WELL.
