*There is a wise saying in this part of the world that goes thus:*
*”A mighty man without the appropriate wisdom, is nothing but a big weakling”.*
*The saying above is telling us that every strength a man has that is not properly managed through wisdom will result in failure. Please remember that wisdom is the appropriate application of knowledge.*
*For every engagement of strength, you therefore need wisdom to drive such :*
*Hosea 4: [6] My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.*
*One of the sources of wisdom is obedience to God’s directives, without which actions will end up in disaster.*
*About obedience, hear the mind of God :*
*Isaiah 1:[19] If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.*
*Please pay attention to the following instances in the effort to look at strength and wisdom in comparison :*
*1) A man can’t be stronger than Samson, but he still ended up being conquered on the lap of a wife who was an international cross-border harlot, because his strength was not well managed through obedience to God’s directives God.*
*2) A man can’t be more privileged than serving a master who carried the double portion of the anointing of God upon Elijah. Such that the servant stood on the threshold of becoming the greatest prophet in history through the possibility of contacting the double portion of the anointing upon his master Elisha. But alas, his greed for material possessions will not allow Gehazi to attain any meaningful level in life. In fact, he ended up becoming a leper. And handed over the reproach of leprosy to his children.*
*3) A man can’t be wiser than Solomon, but he still ended up displaying one of the greatest dimensions of foolishness in history by marrying 700 wives and having 300 concubines.*
*4) A man can’t be better honoured than being engaged as the Treasurer of the global ministry of no less a person but our Lord Jesus Christ, then you will know his accounting ability must be prodigious. But what does this fetch Judas Ischariot in the face of greed and avarice? Condemnation and suicide.*
*_BUT COME AND THINK ABOUT THE FOLLOWING_ :*
*1)The strength of Samson was NOT moderated with humility and obedience to God and to his parents. He ended up dying with his enemies as a blind man who was made to grind corn for his adversaries.*
