The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile Oluji in Ondo State (FEDPOLEL), Dr Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku has felicitated workers in Nigeria and worldwide on the celebration of this year’s International Workers’ Day.

In a goodwill message he signed, Ebeioku said: “Let me on behalf of the Governing Council, Academic Board, Management, Staff and Students of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State joyfully congratulate and rejoice with the entire workforce in Nigeria and across the globe on this year’s International Workers’ Day.

“Workers, from time immemorial, have been a source for development and progress in any human Society. Through their sweats and labour, societies are transformed and made better for all to live.

“On this auspicious Workers’ Day, I therefore wish to salute and acknowledge the tremendous efforts of the entire Staff of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State for their resilience, steadfastness, unalloyed cooperation and unwavering commitment towards promoting and projecting the laudable vision and mission of our cherished Institution.

“In the same vein, the cooperation of the three workers’ unions in the Institution (i e. ASUP, SSANIP and NASU) in sustaining peaceful coexistence and maintaining industrial harmony is highly appreciated and commendable. It is my hope and expectation that this show of camaraderie will continue unabated.

“As we mark this Day, let us project ahead for a glorious future where the voices of our workers’ would be heard, and their labour would not be in vain, but be rewarded without let or hindrance.

“Let us continue to work together as a team to surmount every obstacle and distraction in our collective quest to achieve the FEDPOLEL of our dreams, and the NIGERIA of our hope!
