The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State has commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his exemplary leadership in fostering unity, inclusiveness and internal democracy within the party.
In a statement on Sunday by its state spokesman, Mr Steve Otaloro, the party noted the governor’s consultative engagement with critical stakeholders statewide in seeking consensus on the mode of the primary to be adopted in choosing the party’s candidates for elective posts.

“Aiyedatiwa’s Inclusive Leadership Sets Standard for Party Cohesion and Credible Primaries in Ondo APC”:
“The All Progressives Congress, Ondo State Chapter, wishes to commend the exemplary leadership disposition of Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in fostering unity, inclusiveness, and internal democracy within the party as preparations intensify for forthcoming electoral processes.
In a statement endorsed by the State Chairman, Kolawole Babatunde, the party leadership expressly credited Governor Aiyedatiwa for his deliberate and consultative engagement with stakeholders across the three senatorial districts of Ondo State. According to the Chairman, the Governor’s approach in seeking consensus on the most suitable mode of primary-whether direct primaries or consensus- demonstrates a high level of political responsibility and respect for democratic norms within the party.
It is particularly noteworthy that the Governor, despite not being a contestant in the forthcoming electoral cycle due to the off-cycle nature of the state’s governorship election, has remained steadfastly committed to ensuring a level playing field for all aspirants. His insistence that candidate emergence must be guided by merit, loyalty, and electoral viability reflects a deep understanding of party sustainability and long-term political strategy.
Chairman Kolawole Babatunde further applauded Governor Aiyedatiwa for encouraging all aspirants to align with the broader interest of the party by supporting whoever emerges through a credible and transparent process. This, he noted, is a clear demonstration of leadership anchored on unity, discipline, and collective responsibility.

At the national level, the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu continues to reinforce this culture of unity and coordination within the party.
