Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Idowu Ajanaku
Ondo State Government has beefed up security statewide, as it assured residents of adequate watertight security round the clock.
It expressed its determination to flush out criminals from the state in a statement on Thursday by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Idowu Ajanaku.
According to the statement, “The Ondo State Government, under the leadership of Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has reassured residents of robust and comprehensive security measures put in place across the state as Christians celebrate Easter.”
It extended warm felicitations to the Christians for witnessing another Easter celebration, stressing that the safety of lives and property remains its topmost priority.
Also, it noted that extensive and coordinated security arrangements have been activated statewide to guarantee a peaceful, secure, and hitch-free festive period.
The government stated that security agencies have been strategically deployed with continuous surveillance and intelligence gathering to forestall any breach of peace.
It added, “These proactive measures are aimed at ensuring that residents and visitors alike celebrate in an atmosphere of calm and safety.”
According to the statement, “The government strongly advised residents to remain vigilant and security-conscious at all times, and to promptly report any suspicious movement or activity to relevant security agencies.
“The government stressed that community cooperation remains vital in sustaining the prevailing peace and security across the state.
“Furthermore, the government called on the good people of Ondo State to continue to pray for the peace, unity, and progress of the state and Nigeria at large.
“It specifically encouraged citizens to support and pray for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he advances the Renewed Hope Agenda towards national development and prosperity.
“The Ondo State Government reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to protecting the lives and property of all residents, assuring that no effort will be spared in maintaining law and order before, during, and after the Easter celebrations.
“The government wishes all Christian faithful a safe, peaceful, and fulfilling Easter celebration.”
