The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration, urging prayers for peaceful elections in the state.
In a statement signed by him and in Osogbo, he assured residents of inclusive, people-oriented governance if elected in the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
He called on citizens to remain hopeful, noting that his administration would prioritise participatory governance and deliver policies that reflect the needs of the masses.
The APC flag bearer also urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of devotion, sacrifice, love, unity and peaceful coexistence imbibed during the holy month of Ramadan.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr in our dear state and across the world, I rejoice with our Muslim brothers and sisters on the successful completion of Ramadan,” he said.
Oyebamiji emphasised the importance of prayers for a peaceful electoral process, stressing that the state must remain united before, during and after the polls..
“As this is an election year, let us use this period to pray fervently for peaceful polls in Osun State. It is also a time for personal reflection, sacrifice and commitment to promoting peace, unity and cohesion,” he added.
He further appreciated residents of the state for their continued support, promising to raise the standard of governance and ensure the protection of lives and property if elected.
Oyebamiji also prayed for continued peace and prosperity in the state, wishing Muslims a joyful and fulfilling Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
