A chieftain of the Imólè Political Movement in Osun State, Sunday Abraham Omolajaye, has declared that the achievements of Governor Ademola Adeleke will ultimately guarantee his re-election in the coming governorship poll.
Omolajaye, who is the President of the Omolajaye Foundation and a grassroots mobiliser for the Imólè Osun movement, made the assertion while addressing supporters, insisting that the current administration has redefined governance in the state.
According to him, the governor’s performance in key sectors such as infrastructure, social welfare, and inclusive governance has unsettled opposition elements, as the administration’s record continues to resonate with the people.
He argued that the political consciousness of residents has significantly improved, with many now aligning their choices with visible performance rather than political rhetoric.
“The strides recorded by this administration are evident for all to see. Governance is no longer about promises but about measurable impact, and that is what is giving the opposition sleepless nights,” he said.
Speaking on the philosophy behind the Imólè movement, Omolajaye maintained that leadership must be anchored on moral consciousness and accountability, stressing that ethical governance remains the foundation for sustainable development.
He noted that the current administration’s approach, which he described as people-oriented and transparent, distinguishes it from previous governments in the state.
Omolajaye, who is also an aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Ife Federal Constituency, further claimed that the administration has, within three years, reversed what he termed years of ineffective governance.
He said the difference is evident in grassroots development, improved public engagement, and equitable distribution of resources across various communities in Osun State.
As the state prepares for the August 15, 2026 governorship election, the Imólè advocate called on residents to remain steadfast in their support for the governor, urging them to actively participate in the democratic process.
He emphasised the need for vigilance and unity among supporters to sustain what he described as the gains of purposeful leadership.
“The task ahead requires collective commitment. It is not enough to acknowledge good governance; the people must also defend it through their votes,” he added.
Omolajaye expressed confidence that the governor’s second term bid would be successful, describing it as a reflection of the will of the people.
He reiterated the movement’s slogan of continuity, affirming that the Imólè agenda would endure beyond the next electoral cycle.
The remarks come amid increasing political activities in Osun State ahead of the 2026 governorship election, with parties and stakeholders intensifying consultations and grassroots mobilisation.
