*Please read through this story.*
*A mother returned from work and gave her 10 year old daughter two APPLES – Green Apple and Red Apple.*
*A few minutes later, the mother came to the little girl who was already eating one of the apples (the green one) and asked that she should give her one of the apples to eat.*
*The little girl took the second one – the Red Apple which she should have given to the mother and ate a little out of it.*
*The mother thought that this was the Apple (Red one) that the daughter should have given to her, or perhaps, the other one which she had started eating.*
*The mother was angry, and indeed furious. She told the young girl in clear terms that she was a selfish person, reminding her that she was the one who just bought the two apples for the girl. Only for her to decline giving one of the two apples to her as the mother.*
*The little girl busted into tears after hearing the comments of her mother.*
*She told her mother that she only wanted to taste the second apple in order to know which one is sweeter, in order to give the sweeter one to her.*
*The mother was dumbfounded!*
*While she (mother) was already forming an opinion of selfishness about the little girl, the girl on her part was trying to show consideration on which of the two apples would be better for the Mother.*
*Moral of the story :* *the mother should have shown more empathy for the child first.*
*Her empathy should have played a critical role in the whole scenario. Empathy is “the ability to understand the emotions of other people.”*
*Quite a number of times, we act like this mother – we don’t normally put ourselves in the shoes of others.*
*We should know that we all have our respective perspectives of life.*
*When you begin to see with the eyes of others, then it will be easy for you to operate according to :*
*Jam 1:[19]Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.*
Top of the day to you.
