*God is a great specialist in firing up the imagination of people.*
*When Moses was called through the burning bush to go back to Egypt and lead Israel out of bondage under Pharaoh, Moses doubted everything about his qualifications for the assignment.*
*When the new reality of who he was was not sinking in very well, God asked him to drop the rod in his hand to the ground, and the rod became a serpent. Moses in fear ran away under the new reality – by so doing his imagination was fired up for a new reality.*
*Concerning the doubts of Moses, God had to reassure him that he had become a changed person that carried God’s Power.*
*As a follow up to firing his imagination, God asked him to go back and take the same serpent by the tail, and behold, it became rod again in his hands.*
*Suddenly, the new reality started sinking in, and a new dawn was brought to bear in the life of Moses – a changed person who had become a vessel in the Hand of God.*
*When it seemed as if the hope and faith of Abraham in the promise of God for his future was fading and going down – the promise that he would become the Father of nations and that kings would come out of his loins, again God did something very practical and deeply illustrative :*
*God asked him to come out of the comfort zone of his house and look up to count the stars in the sky : God is a great Teacher. No one can teach better than Him.*
*As the Master Teacher, God is deeply illustrative, empirical and very pragmatic.*
*Please read through the exchange between God and Abraham in some details :*
*Genesis 15: [3] “And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.”*
*[4] “And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.”*
*[5] “And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be”.*
*[6] _”And he believed in the LORD_; and he counted it to him for righteousness”.*
*What God did was to fire up and rebuild the faith of Abraham, and his hope for tomorrow.*
*And through this, reignite the power of his imagination and re-envision in the face of prevailing challenges.*
*Digressing further on the case of Abraham, please note that everything responds to the power of imagination : anything a man can see and think through, stands the chance of possibility before him.*
*Honestly, what a man will become is a function of the capacity of his imagination.*
*Permit me to say this too : an empty mind of imagination, equals….*
*To be concluded tomorrow, God willing.*
Top of the day to you 👍
