*True, a man can be assisted by God to achieve unimaginable greatness in life.*
*But such a fellow must never graduate that into becoming a man with sense of entitlement.*
*King Nebuchadnezzar comes to mind as a man with a flawed sense of entitlement in his journey of life and leadership -(Daniel 4 :1-37).*
*He got so successful that pride became his second name, thinking that he built Babylon by his own mere power. Please listen to what he said :*
*Daniel 4: [30] The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?*
*He forgot that it was God Who gave him everything, including power to get wealth.*
*God turned around to show him Who was really in charge by humbling him big time, turning him into an animal for seven years, while his throne was kept intact – by this he should know Who was keeping him going and his throne intact.*
*A fellow with a sense of entitlement is a dangerous character on the chosen path of self-destruction.*
*Truth be told, most times, we belittle this character flaw called _self entitlement_.*
*Take your time and study men and women with a sense of self entitlement.*
*They are incurably proud and pompous. Deep in their hearts, they feel the world revolves around them. They are hardly grateful for anything.*
*Also, they are incorrigible and unteachable.*
*Why should a man feel he deserves anything for whatever reason? Not stopping at this, he goes all out to act it out as seen in the case of Nebuchadnezzar above.*
*Most of the time, this behaviour is premised by such people on the position they occupy. At times on status or human accomplishments of the fellow.*
*The potentials in some people can also drive them to act like this or feel this way.*
*Again, if I may ask you this question, “what do you think was the greatest challenge of Saul, the first king of Israel as a leader?”*
*To be concluded tomorrow, God willing.*
Congratulations for making it into the third month of the year
