The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, FEDPOLEL, Ondo State, Dr. Ademola Ebeloku, has bagged the Yoruba Leadership Award of Integrity.
A statement by the institution’s Deputy Registrar, Information, Protocol & Passages, Mr Sanmi Enigbokan, said that the award was conferred on Ebeloku by the Yoruba Youth Assembly (YYA) headquartered in Ibadan, on Thursday in the Rector’s Conference Room.
In his speech at the occasion, described as “a celebration of achievements and pragmatic leadership”, the President of Yoruba Youth Assembly, Aare Olarinde Thomas, commended the don for his notable achievements.
According to the statement, Thomas said that the award was in recognition of Ebeloku’s “love for education and admirable leadership qualities exhibited in all the institutions he has held strategic positions, spanning the Federal Polytechnic,Offa; Lens Polytechnic, Offa and Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji.”
Also, Thomas “noted that the awardee is conferred as the ” Grand Commander of Ideal Education in Nigeria for the year 2025″ because he has positively impacted lives and made huge contributions to the empowerment of Youths, Students and Staffers.”
Enigbokan said that while accepting the award, the Rector appreciated the Youth Assembly for the honour done him and the Polytechnic Community.
He added that Ebeloku dedicated the award to the entire Polytechnic Community while acknowledging the supportive role played by other Principal Officers, which has made his job seamless.
In attendance were the Deputy Rector, Dr. Samson Omogbehin; Registrar, Mr. Gabriel Awe; Bursar, Mr. Ebenezer Olabode; Polytechnic Librarian, Dr.Rachael Aladeniyi, and other well-wishers.
Thomas was accompanied to the ceremony by the Ondo State Coordinator, Mr. Ariyo Vincent and the Director of Media, Ogbeni Olaleru Folorunsho.
YYA is an umbrella body of youths in the South-West geopolitical Zone.
It was established to protect and preserve Yoruba indigenous languages, cultural heritage as well as provide platforms for youth engagement, leadership development and entrepreneurship, among others.
