The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile Oluji, FEDPOLEL, Dr. Ademola Ebeloku has prayed for a spiritually fulfilling Ramadan and a grace-filled Lenten season for Christians and Muslims in the institution’s community.

His prayer was contained in a statement that he signed on Wednesday, welcoming the Christians and Muslims in the polytechnic’s community to this year’s unified Lenten and Ramadan season

Ebeloku’s words: “My valued members of the Polytechnic Community, I welcome you all to the holy month of Ramadan and Lenten season. This season signifies a period of total abstinence from vices, spiritual renewal and purification, peaceful coexistence as well as indepth devotion to fasting and prayer with the overall aim of embracing good neighourliness and godliness.

“As we commence this sacred obligation, I extend my heartfelt goodwill message to all members of our Polytechnic Community who are observing this important spiritual exercise.

“Ramadan and Lent are profound seasons of faith, reflection, sacrifice and renewal. Though observed in different ways, both periods call for self-discipline, fasting and prayer, compassion, generosity and a deeper commitment to peace and humanity. This reminds us of the enduring values that binds us together.

“To the Muslim faithful, as you observe the holy month of Ramadan, may this sacred period strengthen your faith, purify your hearts and bring abundant blessings to you and your family

“In the same vein, to our Christian faithful, as you embark on the Lenten season, may this solemn period deepen your devotion and fill your hearts with hope and grace as well as usher divine blessings to your household.

“As an academic community built on diversity and mutual respect, this season offers us an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to peaceful coexistence, moral integrity and collective progress. Let us use this period to promote understanding, support one another and contribute positively to the growth and development of our Institution and our dear nation.

“On behalf of Management, I wish you a spiritual fulfilling Ramadan and a grace-filled Lenten season.

“May Almighty God grant us peace, renewed blessings and strengthen our faith to be committed to His Will.”
