Don’t do what you will regret

*Some times, looking at what is on ground, you think you can maneuvre your ways out of a situation and get away with your actions.*

*Please don’t be deceived, you cannot.*

*Following the post on yesterday’s Reflections, today we shall be looking at another dimension of our wrong actions.*

*Which is the fact that we need to think deeply so that we do not regret our life actions.*

*There are times we are not sufficiently thoughtful and deeply reflective, before embarking on some actions which had given rise to regret later.*

*Just take a look at Judas Ischariot as one of the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ :*

*He was sufficiently prominent in the ministry of Jesus Christ that he was given the duty post of the Treasurer of their movement and activities.*

*The question is what was it that informed Judas Ischariot that the Pharisees and scribes that had been following and monitoring Jesus Christ everywhere He went couldn’t identify Him for arrest in the midst of His disciples, and he had to accept the offer to betray his master? A Man he (Judas Ischariot) had watched at close range teaching, healing and performing miracles, yet he was not bothered about betraying Him!*

*Following such a terrible betrayal and misstep by Judas Ischariot, he was so overwhelmingly filled with sorrow and regret of his action that he had to hang himself, after throwing away the money he so much coveted :*

*Matthew 27: [3] Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders.*
*[4]Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.*
*[5]And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.*

*Again I say : some situations around you will look as if you can get away with some particular actions. Don’t be deceived, you can’t get away with it.*

*It is in situations like this that you should keep remembering the admonition of Paul in Galatians 6:7 :*
*”Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”*

*Can you imagine someone who had been part of the ministry of Jesus Christ for over three and half years, participating in healing the sick and casting out devils (Mk 6:12-13), ending up hanging himself!*

*Again I say, don’t do what you will regret later.*

Top of the day to you.
