*The title of our discussion today is a fundamental question that is open for our contributions.*
*Please permit me to ask you directly : “which one of the three is your preference?”*
*May I let you know that people get it wrong seeking after money.*
*Don’t get me wrong, money is good. After all, the Word of God says :*
*Eccl 10:19- “A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things”.*
*Not only this, read the verse below too:*
*Eccl 7:12…. “and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it”.*
*The second subject of consideration is power. But people also get it wrong seeking after Power. The Word of God says the following about Power :*
*Ecclesiastes 8:4- “Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?”*
*Power is so important that it is the symbol of kingship.*
*But if we should not seek after money or power, what then must we seek after?*
*We seek after STRATEGY.*
*Strategy is the driving force behind success in life.*
*What a man goes to seek in school is not money or power, but strategy.*
*What took Joseph to the throne of Egypt was neither the money in his pocket, nor the power in his hands. It was the strategy he understood, but which others lacked.*
*It was the same drive of strategy in warfare that David understood, and which others, including the King lacked, that made a way for him.*
*When Solomon said :*
*Proverbs 4:7: “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding”.*
*What Solomon was literally opening our eyes to was “go and seek after strategy”.*
*What is strategy as intended for our discussion here?*
*Simply defined, “Strategy is a plan of action intended to accomplish specific goal”.*
*Strategy seeks to understand the know-how of a problem, and gravitates towards solving such known and perhaps unknown challenges.*
*There are three critical driving forces behind Strategy. They serve as the parents of Strategy :*
*Knowledge,* *Understanding and,*
*Wisdom.*
*Look at Solomon giving us an introspection into the workings of God:*
*Proverbs 3:19 -“The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens”.*
*As we say in this part of the world :”when a man sets out looking for money, but he suddenly meets up with honour on the way, what would he use the money to buy BUT honour?”*
*Stop chasing after money or power, seek after strategy, and other things will follow.*
