Amalgamated APC Support Group (AASG), Osun State Chapter, has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji for emerging the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
It described his emergence as a defining and unifying moment for the party in the state, expressing confidence that his candidacy represents the collective will of party stakeholders across the state.
A statement jointly signed by the State Coordinator, Alhaja Kehinde Salami (Iwinsumi), and the State Secretary, Hon. Miftau Adebowale, said Oyebamiji’s selection reflects the party’s trust in his experience, leadership capacity, and commitment to progressive ideals.
It said his emergence has rekindled hope within the party and provided a strong platform to reconnect with the aspirations of the people of Osun State.
“The emergence of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as our governorship candidate underscores the confidence of party leaders and members in his ability to lead Osun State with competence and inclusiveness,” the statement read.
It reaffirmed its total loyalty to the party and pledged unwavering support for Oyebamiji, stressing that unity, discipline, and collective mobilisation would be critical to securing victory in the 2026 governorship election.
As the umbrella body coordinating all the party’s support groups in the state, AASG declared its readiness to deploy its extensive grassroots structures across the 30 local government areas, wards, and communities to ensure effective voter mobilisation and engagement ahead of the polls.
“With a broad base of organised support groups spread across Osun State, the Amalgamated APC Support Groups is fully prepared to drive mass mobilisation, project the party’s message, and galvanise support for the APC at the grassroots,” the statement added.
The group also called on all the party’s leaders, members, and supporters to close ranks and work in unity for the success of the party, noting that the overriding objective remains the return of progressive, accountable, and people-oriented governance to Osun State.
AASG assured Oyebamiji of its steadfast support throughout the campaign period, expressing confidence that the APC, with effective mobilisation and unity, will reclaim Osun State in the 2026 governorship election.
