The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Osun State Council chairman, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu, is set to unveil his autobiography titled “Echoes of My Journey” on Wednesday, August 6, at the NUJ Press Centre, Iwo-Ibadan Road, Osogbo. The event will commence at 10 a.m.
A statement by the event’s organisers said Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, will serve as the Special Guest of Honour, while former Minister of Health, Prof Isaac Adewole, will chair the occasion.
Olowu of Kuta, Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama, is the Chief Launcher and Royal Father of the Day.
Other traditional rulers expected to attend include the Olorowuwo of Orowuwo, Oba Kamorudeen Adeyemi; the Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa, Oba Akeem Ogungbamigbe; and the Olofin of Oribu, Oba Francis Oyebamiji Lucas.
Renowned media entrepreneur and CEO of Rave FM and WSTV, Dr. Femi Adefila, will review the book, while Prof Wasiu Oyedokun of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, will present a keynote paper titled “Activism and Unionism in the Face of Democratic Governance.”
Osun State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, will be the Chief Host.
The book presentation is expected to draw members of the media, academia, traditional institutions, and the general public.
