Amotekun Corps on Osun State has arrested three suspects of burglary, theft, and rape.
They are aged between 23 and 35 years.
The corps made the arrests through coordinated intelligence-led operations conducted across various parts of the state.
One of the suspects, names withheld, was arrested for allegedly burgling an uncompleted residential building in a new site area of Osogbo.
The state’s Amotekun Corps Commander, Dr.vAdekunle Omoyele, said the suspect exploited his familiarity with the construction site to gain unauthorized access to the premises after work hours.
He allegedly stole electrical tools and wiring materials valued at approximately N2.5 million.
Through discreet surveillance and intelligence gathering, operatives traced him to his residence, where he was arrested and found allegedly in possession of the stolen items.
Another suspect, aged 23, was arrested for allegedly stealing several household items, including a flat-screen television, electrical cables, and two standing fans — all valued at over N800,000.
During interrogation, he allegedly confessed to selling the stolen items to a buyer.
He allegedly admitted to selling the television for M27,000 and the fans for N30,000 — a fraction of their actual worth.
Amotekun operatives have launched further investigations into the buyer’s possible involvement in a wider criminal syndicate operations.
In a separate case, the Corps arrested a 29-year-oldsuspect for the alleged rape of a 35-year-old woman in the Alusekere area of Ede.
According to the victim, the suspect lured her to his residence under the pretext of assisting in locating her missing ward.
Once she arrived, he allegedly brandished a locally made pistol and a knife, threatening her life before allegedly forcibly raping her.
Following the survivor’s prompt report to Amotekun, operatives swiftly tracked and arrested the suspect, who has since allegedly confessed to the crime during interrogation.
The case has been transferred to relevant authorities for prosecution.

Omoyele reiterated the agency’s unwavering commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety across Osun State.
He praised the public for their cooperation and encouraged continued collaboration with security agencies.
