Eighty one candidates in Ondo State from the various political parties will contest the 2027 election into the House of Representatives.
They include Adegboyega Adefarati; son of the departed Governor Adebayo Adefarati, of the APC; PDP former spokesman, Debo Ologunagba; former Information Commissioner, Donald Ojogo; Adefisoye Tajudeen Adeyemi porpularly known as “Small Alhaji” of the social Democratic Party,SDP; Adesanya Kemisola Adenike of APM; and Timehin Adelegbe Emmanuel of APC.
They will contest the nine federal constituencies in the state.
Their names were contained in the final list of the candidates released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, which will conduct the election.
The release of the final list of candidates from the state for the election followed months of suspense and controversies.
It was learnt that all candidates submitted by the leadership of ruling party in the state, the All Progressives Congress (APC), made the list.
