Year 2020 and its lessons

Helping Words

By Maryanne Idokogi

Even on a physical level, the smallness of the human being and our Earth relative to the entire network of physical universes, solar systems, planetary systems, galaxies and more, is unfathomable by the human mind. Thankfully Science is beginning to realise this fact – that there is so much that wasn’t previously known and much more being newly discovered about the physical World.

From a spiritual level where infinity comes to play, there are even no points of reference for the comprehension of our minuteness relative to the mightiness and vastness of all that exists beyond the physical.

There are no points of reference to comprehending the vast infinity of faithful Servants…big and small, doing naught but serving their King with all that they have and are as a matter of course…And yet the incomprehensible Love of The Father yet again…and again..and ever again…reaches down into such unimaginable depths where we dwell…Unimaginable depths…in physical and non-physical terms…Unimaginable depths where His Love seeks and finds us upon the paths of our distress calls – consequences of wandering away from Him on many self-chosen paths of error and pain…of suffering and burdens; and then IT hews a way out of the mire for us to follow.

For no one is ever turned away…who comes with open hands and a humble heart, no matter how deeply buried in sin and error.

This Love which is inseparable from Perfect Justice and Purity…can simply find no real understanding by our human minds…And so…we should be grateful for this year 2020, that has reminded us so forcefully, of how fragile life is, how real and delicate our mortality is..but more importantly, how small we truly are.

May we find the wisdom, strength and courage to live for and hold on to the things that really matter…May true humility before The Father, be born anew in us…May true love for Him and for each other arise anew from us…May our gratitude for the many Graces and mercies we are blessed with each day…graces that reach us both through joy and as well, through pain and suffering, show as the renewed commitment we make to live our lives deliberately, sincerely, authentically and purposefully for the fulfillment of whatever unique reason we find ourselves on Earth today.

And may this living gratitude for it all…rise upwards in honour of The Most High Who grants and ever grants. Amen!
