*Somebody recently said: “Common sense is no longer common in our generation”.*
*My question for you is this: “How true is this?”*
*What is common sense anyway?*
*A school of thought said “this is ordinary sensible understanding; or one’s basic intelligence, which allows for plain understanding, and without which good decisions, or judgments cannot be made.”*
*Another school of thought puts it this way : “It is an internal sense, formerly believed to be the sense by which information from the other five senses is understood, interpreted and applied.”*
*Simply summarised- COMMON SENSE _”is doing the right thing at the right time at the right place and in the right way”_.*
*When a man applies the principle of common sense, he will not only accomplish the assignment before him, he will achieve far more than people could think, and more than several people who are not working by common sense.*
*Look at this scenario below please :*
*1 Samuel 18: [5]And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul’s servants.*
*Among others, the use of common sense will place you at an advantage in the pursuit of the assignment that has been committed into your hands.*
*One fundamental driving force behind common sense is :*
*THE SPIRIT OF GOD.*
*John 14:[26] “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you”.*
*Isaiah 30: [21] “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left”.*
*There is no way a man can do things right, especially as seen in the life of David above without the spirit of God.*
*With so much to do around us, common sense will help out.*
*If you are serious about developing yourself to achieve your goals, you just cannot neglect the place and purpose of common sense through the holy Spirit in your daily activities.*
*It is key and crucial in making the difference.*
