*No doubt, there is room for expectations in our hearts.*
*That is why the Word of God says:*
*Proverbs 23: [18]For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.*
*But please note that what you do in a situation where you are given less than what you are expecting is very critical to your interest.*
*Therefore, please pay attention to the following suggestions :*
*1) Don’t ever fight over what you have no control over or what you cannot determine.*
*It is absolute foolishness to begin to fight when God has given out things, be it talent or blessings. This is because He knows the best for each of us :*
*Matt 25: [14] “For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.*
*[15]And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey”.*
*Note that whatever God gives you are not really yours, but His – read the last two words of verse 14 above : “his goods.”*
*Also in verse 15 above, the Bible says God “gives to every man according to his several ability”.*
*In any case, there is room for us to ask God for more if we so desire. But this you must do without judging what He has given to others :*
*Matthew 7: [7] Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:*
*Always remember that God is sovereign over His decisions, and you can’t query him.*
*2) While situations of comparisons exist around you, there are several people with worse case scenarios that you are not aware of : some people are not given anything at all, and are determined to receive their own portion too. They don’t even mind getting just ONE as it was given to the unfruitful servant above. Each time you have reason to complain around you, always think of others facing worse case scenarios.*
*3) Learn to work towards premium success. This is when you turn a seemingly setback to a glorious comeback.*
*In this case, focus your mind on characters that have faced extreme situations and still succeed in turning things around for good. Remember the examples of people like Isaac who sowed in the land in the time of famine, and ended up being envied because of his massive success. Yours can be like this too.*
*4) Necessary to point 3 above, is the fact that you must learn to focus on the assignment before you. Keep doing your best, and you will see the changes you desire.*
*5) Don’t work with the mind of bitterness. You will be tempted to, but you must avoid this. Similar to this, you must avoid malice too, as much as possible. You are to keep away from malicious actions too. Don’t also go about murmuring. Always remember the story of the Israelites on the way to the promised land who were murmuring.*
*As you avoid all these, God will begin to see reasons why you deserve more than you have been given. And He will arise on your behalf to perfect that which concerns you.*
Top of the day to you
