What defines a true earthly union?

For a true earthly union of two human beings such as marriage, to exist, there has to be a harmony of genuine volition, and striving that voluntarily springs deep from within each of the uniting parties. There is no hypocrisy.

For there to be true harmony, each of the uniting parties has to voluntarily independently strive towards a common noble goal, direction or end.

Their individual and joint striving have to be upwards towards the Light. Naturally, one truly serves the other voluntarily and joyfully; and the Lord of one is also That of the other.

Any other striving, or where there is hostility, gives no basis for true harmony, peace and progress. This situation does not conform with the Laws.

Thus, any other volition or striving renders the so-called union a nullity before the Laws.

In such a case, there is no real union as far as the Natural Laws expressing the Holy Will of the Almighty Father are concerned.

What happens in a so-called union where there is neither harmony of volition nor of striving is as follows:

Let us imagine a so-called union where one of the two parties in his thoughts, words and deeds streaming from his volition, strives upwards to the luminous Heights.

On the other hand, the other party in her volition is hostile to the other party because of his volition and striving.

Therefore, she constantly throws bombs at him; instigates enmity and hostility, even of dearest earthly relatives, against him. She always arrays on his path daggers and all other impediments possible.

In this so-called union, the party that strives upwards further exposes himself to danger.

He is always an irritant, an unwelcome companion to the other party, despite all pretences.

The less he binds himself with unhealthy situations, cooking up intimacy where there is none, while he still endures this non-existent union, the better for him.
