Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched am attack on Governor Ademola Adeleke, accusing his administration of poor performance and political propaganda ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
In a statement issued on Monday, the party’s Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, alleged that the governor and his allies were engaging in “lies and subterfuge” in a bid to discredit the opposition.
The APC described Adeleke’s administration as ineffective, claiming it had failed to deliver meaningful development to the people of Osun State in nearly three years in office.
According to the statement, the ruling government has resorted to “demarketing” the APC due to what it called a lack of tangible achievements. The opposition party further alleged that the governor was being controlled and lacked independent leadership capacity.
The party also dismissed reports circulating in political circles that former governor Gboyega Oyetola and APC governorship candidate Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji held strategic meetings during a recent religious trip to plan future political appointments.
Olabisi described the claims as baseless and a fabrication, questioning the logic behind such allegations and insisting they existed only in the imagination of political opponents.
Reaffirming its confidence ahead of the August 15, 2026 election, the APC said it was determined to reclaim power from the incumbent administration through the ballot.
The party urged its supporters to remain steadfast and not be distracted by what it termed misinformation from the ruling camp, expressing optimism that its candidate, Oyebamiji, would emerge victorious at the polls.
