He disclosed that the Governing Council remained open to collaboration and was willing to offer favourable terms to partners interested in elevating the university.
He said, “We remain profoundly grateful for the steadfast support of our Visitor. Mr. Governor, we will continue to disturb you for material support because we want AAUA to be the best.”
Also, he said that the institution looked forward to deepening its partnership with the state government in order to consolidate AAUA’s status as a centre of academic excellence in Nigeria and beyond.
“To our newest alumni, today marks not an end, but the beginning of a greater responsibility. You are now the custodians of this institution’s vision,” he added.
Also speaking, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olugbenga Ige, said the university’s growth had been made possible through the consistent support of the state government.
He noted that AAUA had recorded significant progress in academic integrity, the establishment of new facilities and departments, programme accreditation and resource verification by the National Universities Commission.
His words, “Our university has sustained its reputation as one of the premier state universities in Nigeria and has also made notable advances in research, digital learning, staff development and community service.”
