In a proactive move to boost voter awareness and participation, a sensitization and advocacy team comprising members of the Osogbo Local Government Council, the Voter Education Desk Officer, and INEC staff from Osogbo Local Government conducted outreach activities at Orisunmibare Market and Keke NAPEP Park, Testing Ground Junction.
The visit to the market provided a valuable opportunity to engage directly with traders and shoppers, educating them on the importance of electoral participation and their voting rights.
Market women and community members received hands-on assistance with voter registration services, including transfers, replacement of lost Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), and correction of defaced cards.
The team’s outreach continued at Keke NAPEP Park, where they interacted with commercial tricycle riders and local residents, spreading awareness on electoral processes and offering support for voter-related concerns.
This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of local government and electoral officials to ensuring that all eligible voters in Osogbo are informed, registered, and ready to participate in the democratic process.
