University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo’s new Vice-Chancellor, Prof Ebunoluwa Adejuyigbe, assumed duties on Wednesday, July 23.
She assumed office following the release of the white paper on the report submitted to the Visitor to the University, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa by the Visitation Panel.
The new Vice-Chancellor, a Professor of Paediatrics, hails from Akoko NorthEast Local Government area of the state.
She is the current Executive Director of the Central Office of Research at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife and a Consultant Paediatrician at the OAU Teaching Hospital.
A Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Medicine, former Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, OAU, she is the Vice-President of the African Society of Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Co-Chair of the National Child Health Technical Working Committee.
Prof. Adejuyigbe’s appointment was made public on Friday, March 7, 2025 based on the recommendation of the institution’s Governing Council to the Executive Governor of Ondo State.
