Ebonyi State Governor, Engineer Dave Umahi, has been nominated by the Coalition of Ethnic Nationalities Youth Leaders of Nigeria (CENYLON) as the Infrastructural Governor of the Year Award 2021.
This was contained in a statement on Friday by the coalition’s National President, Comrade Eric Oluwole and Public Relations Officer, Engineer Salahudeen A. Lukman.
The statement said the body decided to honour the Governor among his other colleagues based on his superlative performance in infrastructural development of his state despite the limited resources.
It listed the University of Health Sciences Uburu; Ebonyi State international Airport, Ochudo; Centenary City Governors Lodge; Presidential Lodge; EXCO Chambers and many other structures to the Governor’s credit.
Apart from what it called uncountable new roads both at the rural and urban areas, CENYLON reeled off among other achievements in the Governor’s record the provision a standard Shopping Mall; a world class Ecumenical Centre; Ebonyi International Market; many flyovers; numerous empowerment programmes; security investments; educational investments; and religious welfare.
The award, according to the statement will be conferred on the Governor at a date yet to be decided.
