The Zonal director of Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Dr. Aisha Abdul, has promised to maintain synergy with Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
A statement by SUBEB’s press officer, Mr ‘Bisi Agboola, said that Abdul, who was on a courtesy visit to the board, and accompanied by the State Coordinator, Mrs. Olanike Adams, noted that UBEC enjoys support of the state and that the two bodies would continue to cooperate to achieve the desired goals.
it said: “According to her, rubbing minds together from time to time will promote effective delivery of their programmes which will help both the pupils and teachers to grow.
“She however enumerated some challenges encountered by the commission which include the non-utilization of the instructional materials provided free for use in schools as well as the poor physical infrastructural condition of some schools.
“Dr Abdul mandated that adequate concentration must be giving to the development of our basic education system to enhance a better future.
In his response, the chairman, Ondo State SUBEB, Rt.Hon. Victor Olabimtan, maintained that the state is widely noted for its educational consciousness hence it will continue to maintain good rapport with UBEC.
“He said UBEC Is symbolic at helping the youth grow in education as well as correctional value against social values.
“Hon Olabimtan assured the UBEC officials that his board will further strengthen the Servicom unit for better performance.”
