Obadele emerges Director General
The Minister of Interior, Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo has launched the Ondo State chapter of the Progressives Network for Tinubu,an independent mobilisation group working for the president’s reelection in 2027.
The launch came against the backdrop of Tinubu’s endorsement and announcement by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and its governors as the party’s sole presidential candidate in the 2027 election.
Tunji Ojo announced his support for the President at the launch in Akure the Ondo State capital.
He charged the group that Ondo State must not only retain the 2023 lead in terms of votes percentage in the South West, but should increase the stake in 2027.
In a statement, the spokesperson of the group, Comrade Adesuyi Ajayi described the group as a movement of grassroots politicians who were carefully selected to deliver on the mandate of the group.
H added that the scope of operation is not limited to Ondo State alone but the entire South West region.
Also, in amother statement, by the office of the Director General of the group, Pastor Olumide Obadele, assured the new leaders of the group across Ondo State of the unflinching support of the Minister of Interior, Dr. Bunmi Tunji Ojo.
Pastor Olmakb said “I can assure you that we have the full support of our own Interior Minister, Dr. Bunmi Tunji Ojo. I have his instructions to tell you to move into the nooks and crannies of Ondo State to mobilise support for President Tinubu; imbibing party spirit.
“Honourable Bunmi Tunji Ojo is an ardent believer in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola TINUBU and he will stop at nothing to advance the cause”, Pastor Olumide said.
