Three victims of human trafficking including Adebisi Comfort, Blessing Obiorah and Ifeoluwa Popoola have narrated their horrible experiences in Lebanon and Libya.
Adebisi Comfort shared her experience of living in Lebanon for eight months.
She narrates how she and others were kept in a room called “office” where they were denied food, assaulted and dehumanised before being sent out to work as home helps in different households.
Adebisi, who made the viral video showing over 10 girls locked up in a room also shared the last experience that made her run to the Nigerian embassy in Lebanon.
For a moment, imagine drinking your own urine, drinking from a lake with a dead body inside, being raped, forced into prostitution and sold like a piece of household item multiple times. Can you imagine it?
Blessing Obiorah lived it.
Thankfully, she is alive to tell the tale of horror that was her life for the three years she spent in Libya.
She literally worked herself to exhaustion and she was still labelled lazy. She traveled to seek greener pastures, her family ended up sending money to set her free.
This is the story of another human trafficking survivor, Popoola Ifeoluwa.
