By Malcolm Little Black
Be the reason behind another man’s smile
But be not the reason for his sigh
Be to him not a huddle
And be not his burden…
When life seems like a piece of Chinese puzzle
A little thinking will do
It costs nothing to lift up a heart
The power is in you.
Be another man’s pride, be his hope
Let your light shine, end his grope
A little touch of kindness
Could smother all the sadness…
It’s not the presence of the darkness
But the absence of the light
That multiplies the suffering
And compounds the plight.
Light up the souls of men
Be a source of peace in this den
Be the reason behind a heart warming laughter
Be his joy in this moment, and not after…
Know that this warm hearted mother earth
Abhors a cold hearted humanity
Be a source of enlightenment
Shatter the walls of ignorance and stupidity.
Be an inspiration, be brave
Consecrate a man’s life, and not his grave
Of what use is the ululation accorded to the dead
When life could be saved with a piece of bread?
Be not a miser, but be an encouragement
Be a giver, not just a monument
Adorn a cheerful heart, and radiate cheerfulness
Be at peace with self, that you may spread peacefulness…
Be truly alive in this wonderful Creation of your God
And all that are of the Darkness shall yield to your sword!
