Celestials have a sense of what a Sutana is though, the origin and meaning of the word is unclear.
This lack of clarity raises the point that the name SUTANA, does not capture the essence of this spiritual wear, has hindered the true conception of this spiritual form nor does it provide guidance on the blessings such a form of attire carries.
At best the word Sutana suggests the free flowing nature of this form of dress and perhaps provides a hint of the material type. Nothing more! However, without the Spirit, the form, any form, loses its value and assumes what it’s not; aberrations in its full varieties.
To come close to what this special garment represents, the Yorùbá word ASO ÈMÍ (A spiritual garment, the spirit’s clothe or the cloak of a spirit) is a better word that succinctly captures and conveys the origin, the essence of this form of dress and its purpose.
Derived from the Yorùbá name, it must be clear in the reader’s mind that the Aso Èmí (Sutana) did not originate from men’s intellect and therefore is not and cannot be regarded as a fashion item, neither is it a casual wear. It is not a uniform or meant for the identification of a sect. It is also not meant for ceremonial outings or purposes. What is it then?
It is a spiritual concept or imagery that hints at the nature of the covering or cloak a spirit wears, which is a product of the pure activities of the spirit and the sort of luminous environment the spirit may live in when it passes on.
Revelations 3:5
He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
If the previous statement is carefully absorbed, it will reveal that the ASO ÈMÍ or Aso Ologo is meant as the natural adornment of those who have purified their thoughts, words and deeds, not excluding those who are earnestly striving to attain the demanded level of purity.
The Aso Èmí (Sutana) therefore sets a goal for the human spirit on earth to strive for and attain.
From a lowered viewpoint, the Aso Èmí is and must remain a consecrated item. This stipulates that it must be sourced, designed, produced, consecrated and worn with decorum and reverence.
The Aso Èmí is also an instrument for defence and protection.
THE ASO ÈMÍ (SUTANA) AS A PROTECTIVE COVER
Most seekers who intend to or have joined the celestial movement have been attacked, will be attacked or suffer from a form of psychic attack or ethereal illness in various forms. This includes those born into or are members in the fold.
For a newcomer or existing member who has taken a conscious bath in a flowing stream or SANCTIFICATION bath at the church premises, he or she then wears the consecrated or spiritually charged Aso Èmí (Sutana) and thus becomes its first tool of defense and protection against the evil currents that will assail him.
Upon wearing the consecrated Aso Èmí (Sutana), which is imbued with the Power of Love and Grace from Above, the Wearer should feel protected and light, now or later, corresponding to the state of his inner nature or the weight of his spiritual baggage.
Moreover, it changes the purity state or level of the aura of the wearer who may be conscious or unconscious and also boosts its confidence against his or her fears. The more he or she strives to purify its deeds, the more the purity the cloak absorbs and radiates which comes from the inbuilt spirit radiance shining through from the two main inner bodies of Man ( Soul and Spirit) connected with The Light Source. This act helps him to gain clarity amid the deep confusion he or she may be.
Because the Aso Èmí (Sutana) strengthens the physical body’s natural aura protection as a sort of first layer of defence, this explains why a seeker or member could be asked to sow an Aso Èmí for healing or sleep purposes. The Aso Agbara (the power cloak), Aso pẹpẹ, (the ALTAR cloak) though unique in its use and intensity, all fall in this use category.
It must be duly noted that the Aso Èmí does not wipe away the sins of the wearer, only his actions will, yet it helps him mitigate its consequences, provided the wearer resolves and strives to be a better human being. But for the Aso Èmí to perform these functions, it must be consecrated or spiritually charged and remain charged. It must never lose its radiance else it becomes a “scrap”.
It must be remembered that the purity of the Aso Èmí points to the “unsoiled” state at which the inner spirit cloak should be.
HOW DOES THE SUTANA BECOME A PROTECTIVE COVER OR A WALL OF PROTECTION?
The composition or elements of a thing is key!
The consecration of the SUTANA by a gifted Olùṣọ, links the Aso Èmí with the Soul and attaches it to the LIGHT POWER which imbues the cloak with its effect. This activation of power attracts the needed spiritual helpers or protectors.
However, the inner core of man, the spirit, its noble works, charges the Sutana through the physical body. This naturally points to the fact that without the constant charge of the spirit of the wearer, plus a sin-filled life, the Aso Èmí’s light begins to dim and eventually loses its radiance.
To cap this section, wherever a charged Aso Èmí- Sutana (coming from a charged spirit) enters, it must repel Darkness and its evil forms.
In part 2, we will consider further insights on; sourcing the garment, the special nature of the female sutana, the Prophet’s Sutana, sowing the garment, recharging and discarding the garment and conclusion.
The above essay contains excerpts from the book – The Untold mission of the Celestial Church of Christ; the movement that became a church authored by Ogun-A-dele
Like the Celestial mission, the Harvest, a core component of the mandate, is a spiritual mandate built on the high revelation revealed from May 23rd 1947.
This concept as well as the mandate is not in competition with another or in a race to establish superiority with any other spiritual mission that also became a church but the revelation builds upon each other, like a flight of steps, as everything else in Creation and manifests in the Complete Holy Will of the Father.
The Spiritual Harvest, a form that first took shape via the celestial mission, has the highest spiritual implication for Creation and the Earth. However, it should not be confined to the Church as part of its lofty tradition or practices which in essence is NOT. The Harvest is the highest spiritual responsibility for those it rests with,
