When two are joined who are unequal in their level of inner, or spiritual maturity, the Law ordains that the more mature one is held back, or retarded in his progress. He may even fall.
While he does not help the less mature one, who stands still, or even retrogresses further.
We should note that it is not every more mature human being who can help and bring the one who is less mature to his level. This is rare.
Thus, everyone who is seriously striving for ascent must watch the company, or union he forms or joins, or retains on earth, particularly one of a lasting nature such as marriage, or even friendship.
However, one should note that there are no two human beings on earth who are on the same level of spiritual maturity, or development.
This is possible only in the Beyond, where the unions in existence are only of those who are on the same level of spiritual maturity, or development, who are truly homogeneous.
But here on earth, it is strongly advised that a lasting union should be formed only on the basis of homogeneous volition and striving.
In other words, for it to be healthy, to ensure, bring, or facilitate true happiness, joy, wellbeing, progress and development for either of the two parties involved, it is advised strongly that any earthly union, particularly any lasting earthly union, should be formed only on the basis of homogeneous spiritual volition and striving.
Also, it is advisable that any lasting earthly union should be on the basis of homogeneous volition and striving of the uniting parties, for there to be harmony between the two parties involved.
This is the only condition to guarantee true happiness, joy and development for either of the two parties involved.
This will help them to jointly build a happy union, a happy and joyful home, that will be a blessing for their children, for all the inhabitants, and even visitors, for their neighbours far and near, and for the earth and the entire Creation.
