Darasimi, a nine year-old teenage girl popularly called “smart girl” has lauded the manifesto of Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, as regards Education and Health particularly, describing the “School Free Shuttle” programme as one direct dividend every child has benefited from besides being the safest means of transport for pupils.
In fact, she presented a campaign speech canvassing votes for Ondo State Deputy Governor and ZLP’s flag bearer in the October 10, 2020 governorship election, Hon Agboola Ajayi.
The teenager mounted the rostrum on Wednesday during Ajayi’s familarisation rally in Ondo City of Ondo West Local Government Area of the state and spoke glowingly of the party’s education programmes.
Her words,”What any child can quickly mention as benefit of good government was the school free shuttle. But it suddenly stopped. Also, my parents told me that registration fee for West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination ( WASSCE) is neither paid nor subsidised any more. The present government denied us everything.”
While appealing to all, she said:” I beg everyone to please vote for Honourable Agboola Ajayi who has promised to bring back the school free shuttle, free maternal health care for our mothers and assistance on WASSCE fee payment.
“I look to an Ondo State where all pupils can have education in a good environment like that of mega schools.”
Darasimi donned the Zenith Labour Party’s campaign cap having “AGBO” inscription on it to join the large crowd of party supporters.
