The leadership of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has passed a vote of confidence on the Management of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State.

In a position letter to the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, and signed by NAPS President, Mr Sunday Adekanbi, the students body made it known that the landmark achievements of the institution in less than four years under Prof. Adedayo Emmanuel Fasakin, (the Provost) is indeed alarming and worth celebrating.

The letter stressed “proper and visible utilisation of TETFUND which has made the institution look greater than expected.”

A statement by Adekanbi said: “The leadership of NAPS also urged the Federal Government to give maximum support through funding to progressive institutions such as this and as well ensure the completion of the Rector’s second tenure in order to either complete or take to a reasonable stage the good work he has started.”

It added that he and his team graced the 2019 Matriculation ceremony, assuring the general public that the institution would move to her permanent site soon.

It said: “Capital projects are really going on. Thanks to the Federal Government; Thanks to the Management of Federal Polytechnic, Ile Oluji Ondo State.”

Adekanbi from Kaduna Polytechnic, had earlier led a visit to the institution to inspect facilities on campus, saying: “But to our utmost surprise, the newly and last birthed institution in Nigeria (Fedpoly Ile Oluji) happens to be the fastest growing institution in Nigeria.”
