*It is good we pay attention to Solomon speaking to open up our heart to very deep revelations through one of his simple but selfless nuggets of wisdom.*
*He said :*
*Prov 30: 8 – “Remove far from me vanity and lies: _give me neither poverty nor riches_; feed me with food convenient for me:”*
*[9] “Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain”.*
*It sounds strange for a man to say “give me not riches”. But there is wisdom in what he said as he countered to say “so that he doesn’t become full of himself”.*
*He also said “give me not poverty”, so that “he would not end up stealing, there by disgracing the name of God”.*
*To us all, it is good we take time to reflect on the deep thoughts of Solomon, the wisest Man in the Bible.*
*These two shades of opinions from the flowing fountain of Solomon are no doubt at the extreme end of the two different divides.*
*To us all, never allow any of the two extremes of life (RICHES AND POVERTY) to negatively define who you are : your period of lack and your season of abundance.*
*Several people never made it beyond their stage of lack and deprivation in life.*
*It was lack in the area of contentment that made Gehazi, Elisha’s servant, to desire what his boss and leader had rejected (2 Kings 5:20-27). He ended up being struck with leprosy after taking gifts from Naaman, a Syrian commander who was healed by God through Elisha.*
*While many others ended up becoming radically changed after acquiring wealth, some even become monsters and terrors on acquiring their affluence.*
*Do you know that the “rich fool” might not have died as at the time he did, if he was still struggling? His riches made him forget God :*
*Luke 12: [16] “And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:”*
*[18] “And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods”.*
*[19] “And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry”.*
*[20] “But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?”*
*Learn to be patient when you have nothing.*
*Learn to be humble and selfless too when you have everything you may need.*
*Never allow the two sides to put a limitation tag on who you really are.*
*The impact your life will make in this generation is a function of who you define yourself to be, irrespective of the phase of life you may be going through at a point in time.*
Top of the day to you 👍
