As they surge about, seeking desperately for an opening, for an open and willing host through whom they will do evil. Who will be held responsible, and who shall eventually bear the responsibility before the incorruptible and perfect Laws.
Do not attract, welcome or entertain them. Do not produce them either. Concentrate your thoughts only on the good, joy, well-being, and welfare of your neighbour.
Disregard his faults and serve him, help him, lavish him with good thoughts that stream constantly from you. Do not squander, or waste your thoughts and time on anything that brings harm to your neighbour or on anything that may harm him.
Forgive him! Love him. You do this only when you disregard his faults. After all, you too bear within yourself the faults for which you passionately criticise him! To a larger extent; and even worse.
Yet the Lord in His ever-ready Goodness shows you His Mercy. Repeatedly. He never condemns you, nor withdraws His help from you, nor shuts you out of His Love.
So, why would you be unforgiving over the petty faults of your neighbour?
