Religion of love

The Poet's Corner

By Malcolm Little Black

If I be a Christian

And you a Muslim

She a Hindu

And he a Buddhist…

No matter the tribe, clime or region

Without love how good is the religion?

If I be a Pagan

And you a Heathen

She a Pantheist

And he an Atheist…

Devoid of kindness, devoid of empathy

Alas we need pity, and not sympathy.

To

Err

May

Seem Human,

Yet

The

SnareIs

Inhuman…

And the good old Universe is faithful with her song;

Love permeates every sound spewed by her gong.

Be a keeper

Be a giver

And above all

Be a believer…

For worthless are the words we speak

Unless we endeavour to let love lead.

Be a true child of Creation

Be a citizen of the World

Be free indeed

Like the air you breath…

Unbutton your heart, embrace the faith

The religion of love, and its glorious fate.
