In the early hours of today, the dethronement of Sanusi Lamido, the Emir of Kano was reported by Press. Shortly after, it was reported that there was heavy security deployed to the palace of Emir Kano shortly.
The news was announced by the Secretary to the state government Usman Alhaji who said the reason for the removal is because the traditional ruler consistently refuses to abide by instructions given to him.
