The Chairman of Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Victor Afolabi Olabimtan, has reaffirmed the stand of government to evenly redistribute primary school teachers across the state’s 18 local government areas for better service delivery.

This was contained in a statement on Tuesday by the board’s Press Officer, Mr Bisi Agboola.

While responding to questions on a phone-in radio programme, Olabimtan said that the planned redistribution of the teachers will help reinvigorate the public schools.

He said that teachers are in excess in some schools whereas there are shortages in some others.

His words: “We are working towards achieving the standard of having 36 pupils per class to pave way for easy teaching.”

On the ongoing 2022 National Personnel Audit exercise, he said it was a success, noting that the extension of time with one week will help the exercise the more.

He also commended the cooperation received from the proprietors of private schools for not seeing the exercise as a means for taxation.
